In this regard, the peptide drugs project was developed based on the production of three forms of powder vials, liquid vials and pre-filled syringes (PFS), and placed on the agenda of Biosun Pharmed Co. With the operation of this production unit, more than 3 million doses of drugs will be annually introduced to the world markets in accordance with the latest cGMP, EMEA and WHO standards and guidelines, which will result in significant currency savings in addition to delivering quality products comparable to foreign-made ones.
In a three-story building with an approximate area of 3500 square meters, this project consists of various parts: changing room, weighing, formulation, quality control, vial production, washing lines, sterilization and vial filling, pre-filled syringe manufacturing, syringe filling, warehouses, refrigerators, visual inspection, blister, packaging, clean water installations, facilities and support.
Aimed at maintaining product quality and assuring employee safety, Biosun Pharmed Company has placed the use of a production line equipped with isolators and environmental control of cytotoxic products on its agenda. These isolators will be built and exploited using the latest technology and based on new pharmaceutical standards. According to the plans, it is expected that the implementation stages of this massive project be completed in the middle of 2018.
