Gardisun® is a quadrivalent Human Papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine used to prevent infection caused by four high-risk and common types of the virus: 6, 11, 16, and 18. Supplied in pre-filled syringes for intramuscular injection, this vaccine is designed to provide long-term protection against genital warts, precancerous lesions, and cervical cancer. Gardisun® stimulates the body’s immune system to produce specific antibodies against these HPV types, creating a powerful immune barrier against malignant and high-risk viruses.

Gardisun® introduces recombinant HPV proteins to stimulate the immune system and trigger the production of specific antibodies. Key outcomes include:

  • Preventing the entry of the HPV virus into epithelial cells.

  • Preventing the occurrence of infection and genital warts.

  • Inhibiting the development of precancerous cervical lesions.

  • Significantly reducing the risk of cervical cancer associated with HPV types 16 and 18.

  • Note: This vaccine is for prevention and is not a treatment for existing infections.

  • Store in the refrigerator at 2°C to 8°C.
  • Do not freeze the vaccine.
  • Keep in the original box to protect from light.
  • Do not use if discoloration or floating particles are observed.
  • Postpone vaccination during periods of high fever or acute infection.

  • The individual should remain under observation for several minutes after injection (due to the risk of post-vaccination syncope/fainting).

  • Do not administer during pregnancy; vaccination may resume after childbirth.

  • Generally considered safe during lactation, but should be administered under a physician’s advice.

  • History of severe allergic reactions must be evaluated before use.

Contraindications:

  • Severe hypersensitivity (anaphylaxis) to vaccine components or a previous dose.

  • Frozen vaccine.

  • Presence of severe and uncontrolled acute illnesses.

  • Common: Pain, swelling, or redness at the injection site, mild fever, headache, and fatigue.

  • Less Common: Muscle pain, nausea, and dizziness.

  • Rare but Important: Severe allergic reaction (Anaphylaxis).

Gardisun® is supplied in horizontal boxes with a blue-and-white design, containing 0.5 ml pre-filled syringes. The packaging is engineered to protect the product from light, impact, and contamination.
