Usage:
  • Diphtheria and Tetanus
  • Pertussis (Whooping Cough) and Hepatitis B
  • Haemophilus influenzae type b (Hib) — the agent causing meningitis and dangerous childhood infections.

Sunopent® is a five-in-one combined vaccine (Penta Vaccine) used for the active immunization of infants and children against five dangerous and common childhood diseases. This vaccine contains essential antigens to create sustainable immunity against Diphtheria, Tetanus, Pertussis, Hepatitis B, and Haemophilus influenzae type b (Hib). Sunopent® is administered via intramuscular injection in three primary doses and one booster dose, providing vital and long-term protection for the child.

Sunopent® stimulates the immune system by introducing inactivated and neutralized antigens into the child’s body, triggering the production of protective antibodies. This vaccine results in:

  • Establishing sustainable immunity against five high-risk diseases.

  • Reducing childhood respiratory infections and meningitis.

  • Preventing mortality caused by Diphtheria and Pertussis.

  • Preventing disabilities resulting from Hib and Tetanus.

  • Store at temperatures between 2°C to 8°C.
  • Prevent freezing of the vaccine at all times.
  • Store in the original packaging within the refrigerators of healthcare centers.
  • Do not use if the vial is discolored or damaged.
  • Use with caution in children with a history of fever above 40.5°C following previous vaccinations.

  • Caution is required for patients with immune system disorders.

  • In case of a history of Hypotonic-Hyporesponsive Episodes (HHE) following a pertussis vaccine, administration must be decided by a physician.

  • Vaccination should be temporarily postponed during acute fever or severe infection.

Contraindications:

  • Severe hypersensitivity or anaphylaxis to any vaccine components.

  • History of uncontrolled seizures.

  • History of severe reactions following previous Pentavalent injections.

  • Presence of acute illness and high fever at the time of injection.

  • Common and Mild: Mild fever, restlessness and crying, swelling, redness or pain at the injection site, and drowsiness.

  • Less Common: High fever, vomiting, leg stiffness, or mild allergic reactions.

  • Rare but Important: Severe allergic reaction (Anaphylaxis) and febrile seizures.

  • Immediate medical attention is necessary if severe symptoms occur.

Sunopent® is supplied in a standard, durable box which includes:

  • One vial containing Pentavalent antigens.

  • One Hib vial for reconstitution/mixing.

  • A sterile syringe ready for injection.
